1. About SkinAI

SkinAI provides general, appearance-based skincare guidance using information you provide and visible characteristics in a photograph you choose to upload.

SkinAI may suggest skincare routines, ingredients and products based on your answers and the visible appearance of your skin.

Important

SkinAI is not a medical diagnosis

SkinAI is not a doctor, dermatologist or medical service. It is not intended to diagnose, prevent, monitor, treat or cure a disease, medical condition or skin disorder.

2. Medical and skincare disclaimer

Information provided by SkinAI is general skincare guidance and educational information only.

It should not replace advice from a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist or other qualified healthcare professional.

Do not rely on SkinAI to determine whether a mole, lesion, rash, infection, allergic reaction or other skin concern is medically serious.

If you have persistent, painful, rapidly changing, bleeding or otherwise concerning symptoms, seek appropriate professional advice.

If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, seek appropriate emergency medical help rather than using SkinAI.

3. AI and photo limitations

SkinAI uses artificial intelligence. AI systems can make mistakes, misunderstand an image or produce information that is incomplete or inaccurate.

Results can be affected by lighting, camera quality, image compression, makeup, filters, shadows, facial hair, viewing angle and other factors.

SkinAI only considers information reasonably visible in the submitted photograph together with the information you provide.

Results should therefore be treated as guidance rather than a statement of medical fact.

4. Product recommendations

SkinAI may suggest skincare ingredients or commercially available products that appear appropriate based on the information provided.

A recommendation does not guarantee that a product will be suitable for you.

Individual skin can react differently to the same ingredient or product.

Read the manufacturer's instructions and ingredient list before use.

Patch testing may be appropriate when introducing a new product, particularly if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions.

Stop using a product if you experience significant or persistent irritation and seek professional advice where appropriate.

Retailer prices, availability, formulations and packaging can change. Prices shown by SkinAI should be treated as guide prices unless stated otherwise.

5. Your photograph and information

Only upload a photograph that you are entitled to use.

Do not upload a photograph of another person without appropriate permission.

Your submitted photograph and questionnaire answers are used to provide the SkinAI analysis as explained in our Privacy Policy.

Avoid uploading photographs containing unnecessary private or sensitive information in the background.

6. Responsible use

You agree not to use SkinAI to:

  • attempt to medically diagnose another person;
  • upload photographs you do not have permission to use;
  • interfere with, overload or attempt to compromise the service;
  • use SkinAI for unlawful, abusive or fraudulent purposes;
  • falsely represent a SkinAI result as professional medical advice.

7. Availability

We aim to keep SkinAI available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Features may be changed, improved, suspended or removed as the service develops.

8. Accuracy

We aim to make SkinAI useful and improve its quality over time, but AI-generated analysis cannot be guaranteed to be completely accurate, complete or suitable for every person.

You remain responsible for deciding whether to follow a skincare suggestion provided through SkinAI.

9. Liability and legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so.

These terms do not affect statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

10. Third-party websites

SkinAI may provide links to third-party websites such as skincare retailers.

Those websites are independently operated and have their own prices, availability, terms and privacy practices.

A link from SkinAI does not mean that SkinAI controls that third-party website.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as SkinAI develops, new features are introduced or legal and regulatory requirements change.

The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in this section removes any consumer rights you may have to bring a claim in another jurisdiction where applicable law gives you that right.
